open and waitlist U16B players. Coaches need to make sure to submit assistant
coach information so that it will be on rosters and player cards can be printed
for coaches.
COACHING EDUCATION REPORT
Ralph Perrotto reported. Samba Sundays will make about $300-$350. There are
only 2 PYS coaches signed up for G & F courses being offered in March. PTUSA

cards, just rosters. Discussed how many home games we can handle for each
division. There can be no more than 7 U12 games a day, for other divisions there
is not an issue with field space.

“Coach and Player Selection Procedures” document regarding select team tryouts
and other clarification items. Board discussed proposal. Proposed changes
include: limit allowing coach to identify only one assistant coach prior to
draft (Sec. 2.3), clarify fall U10 draft is face down (Sec. 4.2) and spring U10
redraft will be face up (Sec. 4.4), clarify select team tryout dates will be
posted on the website and emailed to the PYS email groups (Sec. 4.5), clarify
language that it is recommended there be 10-15 people evaluating instead of
“should” (Sec. 4.5.2), clarify player trades will not be allowed unless
extenuating circumstances and approval of majority of coaches in division with
coordinator as tie-breaker (Sec. 4.7), clarify it will be the Board of Directors
that can invalidate a draft not held in accordance with drafting procedure (Sec.
4.8), player notification of select team will be made by posting roster online
(Sec. 4.9), clarify minimum playing time is equal time (Sec. 5). Other changes
to Sec. 4.5.4 were discussed and will be sent back to committee for further
revision. MOTION: Accept Evaluation Committee’s
recommendation and change the PYS document “Coach and Player Selection
Procedures” Sections 2.3, 4.2, 4.4, 4.5, 4.5.2, 4.7, 4.8, 4.9, and 5 (see

CRANBERRY LEAGUE PROPOSAL
Mike Tropeano presented Evaluation Committee’s proposal regarding the Coastal
Fall Cranberry League for U12 and U14s. Proposed opportunity would allow all
registered U12 and U14 players that participate in fall in-town soccer to play
in an additional league with other towns. The season would be run to “break
even.” Registration would be after fall season begins. If more than one team at
an age group the teams will be equal and picked by coordinator and coaches. If
too many players for one team but not enough for two teams, players would
participate on a rotating basis. No additional practices. Issues discussed
included field usage, scheduling conflicts, and picking coaches. Evaluation
Committee will work more on the proposal and present updated proposal at a
future meeting.
PICTURE PROPOSALS
Mike Tropeano presented 5 proposals from picture vendors (Color Graphics, All
Star Photos, Eastern Exposures, Bishop Photos and Dad’s Photo). Board compared
and discussed the pros and cons of the various proposals.
