Minutes from August 13, 2008 meeting were reviewed. REPORT

OLD BUSINESS
BRICK FUNDRAISER
Work will be started soon. Order 5 pallets of bricks. $900 has been collected. Will spend
up to $1,000 on brick purchase.
PTUSA CLINICS
Ralph Perrotto reported there has been a good turnout for the clinics on Monday nights.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Lisa Stoyle presented and reviewed a handout with a comparison of financials for the
2007-2008 season and the 2008-2009 season so far along with the current balance sheet of
our accounts. REPORT ACCEPTED.
REGISTRAR'S REPORT
Andy Goodman reported on registration status and also about the issue of the high number
of late registrations received this year. Discussed increasing the late fee, adding the
late fee to internet registrations and eliminating the online fee by working it into the
regular fee. The goal is to decrease late registrations. MOTION:
Increase late fee to $25 and have it also apply to internet registrations after July 31st.
Spring registration deadline will be March 1st. MOTION PASSED. Bill Tholen
and Andy Goodman will report back on the surcharge charges by the online registration
service and look into the possibility of having the fee reduced.
COACHING EDUCATION REPORT
No Report
COASTAL REPORT
Fran Squatrito reported on a game rule clarification-for U12s the goalies' kick or throw
cannot cross midline, and a rule change-no casts will be allowed. Also, spring per team
fees went down: U10s from $75 to $60 and U12/U14/U16-U19 from $90 to $80.
REFEREE COORDINATOR REPORT
Bill Tholen reported. Discussed need to raise the fees for U16-U19 to become more in line
with other towns as we have a shortage of refs at this level. Will look at this issue
again before spring season. Discussed the differential in pay for fall and spring at U10
level. MOTION: Change rate for U10 refs to $15 per game for
both fall and spring seasons. Increase U12 rate for fall season to $17 and U14 rate for
fall season to $19. MOTION PASSED.
NEW BUSINESS
FIRST AID/CPR/DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING
Gary Parker presented information on first responder training program to be offered by
Brockton Hospital/Signature Health Care for all coaches in Pembroke at no cost. Tentative
date October 7th. MOTION: Sponsor first aid program in
conjunction with Signature Health Care. MOTION PASSED.
RESCHEDULING FALL MAKE-UP GAMES
There will be no rescheduling of games cancelled due to weather. Season was extended to
account for weather.
SPRING 2008 SELECT TEAM COACHES
Coaches were invited to present their background, experience and philosophy in order to be
considered for the Select Team coaching positions. The board considered several candidates
and made the following coaching appointments:
GU12: Deb Bostwick (unopposed) BU12: Mike Tropeano (other candidate: Chuck Pulselli) GU14: Bill Mello (unopposed) BU14: Mike Cavalear (unopposed)
